Your Role

Only one thing is clear about any wicked problem.

It definitely will not get solved if you stay on the sideline and do nothing, because, as systems theory makes clear, everything we do–including everything we don’t do–matters. You may not make a huge difference, and you singlehandedly won’t change the world.

However, you can make a difference, especially in producing the kind of cultural change discussed earlier in this part of wickedproblems.info.

No one has put what we can do as individuals any better than the 1960s folk singer, Tom Paxton, in his song, “Peace Will Come” with its refrain, “let it begin with me” which you can watch in a version recorded shortly after the death of his friend and mentor, Pete Seeger.
