Here's why a fiftieth reunion at a small college in Ohio might be of interest to the rest of the world.
I will be attending my fiftieth college reunion this weekend. We will not be trying to recapture the politics of those turbulent times. Instead, we will try to figure out what we can contribute to creating a more just and peaceful world in the time we have left. And, we'll also have time to spend with each other and, yes, do some reminiscing.
I just got home from planning my fiftieth reunion at Oberlin College. I owe pretty much everything I am politically and professionally to the place, so I do what I can to help the place. In this case, I had two sets of reactions that seemed worth sharing on the six hour drive my hybrid and I had coming home last night.
