Just before Christmas, I spent a week in Oman, while attending a retreat on reconciliation. The trip taught me a lot about peacebuilding, starting with the country itself.
Last weekend, I attended an annual conference for community college peacebuilding professors. Each year, I come away impressed by how much these faculty members are able to accomplish and shocked by how little attention we pay to these hidden gems in American higher education.
